Hi friends and family,
On Saturday, April 10th, I’m going to join The Lab’s 12-hour Dance A Thon! Join me as I dance from home via webcam to help my favorite space for experimental art survive the pandemic. Some incredible artists and musicians are donating their time to support The Lab – you can tune in at www.thelab.org to see me dance alongside Moor Mother, William Basinski & Preston Wendel (Sparkle Division), Dan Deacon, Matmos, The Garbage Man (Grouper), Brontez Purnell, Discostan, Greg Saunier (Deerhoof) & Sarah Harris (Lucky Baby Daddy), Maria Chavez , and Alejandro Cohen (Dublab). Feel like dancing? Join me!
Since 1984, The Lab has been an epicenter for experimental art in San Francisco. Despite having to close this past year due to the lockdown, it still managed to give out $140,000 directly to artists. Isn’t that amazing?! It needs just $25,000 to make it through the year. Can you help?
1. Donate to my fundraiser through my pledge page [INSERT LINK HERE]! Even $1 would be greatly appreciated.
2. Send me an encouraging text, send me your favorite dance moves, or just eat a bunch of carbs with me that day.
3. Share my fundraiser page through social media or email your friends and colleagues. Help me win prizes!!!
I know it’s a tough time but I'm grateful for any support you can provide for The Lab and my dance ambitions.
Sending care,
[DANCE MANIAC]
